Grammatically correct website content may seem like a no-brainer, but you’d be surprised how many people let it slip, and how important it really is.

Using capital letters and commas in the wrong places creates all kinds of negative perceptions. And if you’re trying to grow your business, you’ll want to achieve the exact opposite.

How grammar impacts your website sales & enquiries

To be clear, I’m not referring to the way that web design companies display text on a website, I’m referring to your actual punctuation. Your grammar, and use of the English language (or whichever language you use).

You see it’s all about perception. We’ve already discussed the fact that you wouldn’t go to a client meeting in your pyjamas. Well, the logic with your grammar is much the same. Whether we like it or not, using poor grammar sends the wrong message and creates all kinds of negative perceptions. Because with access to an abundance of online tools and resources, there really is no excuse.

How to easily enhance the perception of your business

Instead of potential clients questioning your capabilities, run your content through an online tool, or have a colleague check your work. And make it a habit.

Grammarly is a great browser extension – and it’s free – simply enable it in your browser and it does all the hard work for you. Easy.
